God is Working in Wonderful Ways

20180918_180205 (1)For the past two days several men from Christ United Methodist have been busy in stifling heat, as we do NOT have an air-conditioning system but are working on plans to acquire both a furnace and air conditioning system, to remodel what used to be a tatoo parlor.

God has BLESSED us with amazing Landlords and financial assistance.  Pastor Dave Roach retired, Stan Cosby retired, Geoffery Lewis tree trimmer/handyman and I have been working to establish a FREE Faith Based Health Clinic in Wellston Ohio.  Our Planning Team Leader is Kim Hughes NP along with many community members/professionals from Jackson County have been working for several years to birth this concept.   We are currently trying to model other clinics in our area such as the HOPE CLINIC in Chillicothe.  With God’s assistance and the faithful support of the people of Jackson County this dream is coming closer to a reality.

If you wish to support the clinic with your People Skills, Pastoral Skills, Occupational Skills or financial support we have a job for YOU!  Contributions can be made to Christ United Methodist Church 150 Portsmouth Street Jackson, Ohio 45640.   We are working with our lawyer to attain 5013c statues but until that happens we are working under the umbrella of CUMC.  Once the paper work is completed we will pull apart and become a free standing unit to serve the people of Jackson County.

All of our workers are VOLUNTEERS and are not paid, they are individuals who wish to share their professional skills with those who often end up in the Emergency Rooms without the ability to pay.  We will offer an alternative option in which everyone benefits, both our medical organizations and the uninsured as we assist in showing Christ’s Love to all!

Presently we ARE NOT OPEN for business but when we do OPEN we will serve the UNINSURED PEOPLE of Jackson Ohio with medical care or referrals, faith based counseling if requested as well as social services referrals.  If you have concerns about our distribution of drugs or devices to inject drugs and even antibiotics we are not that kind of clinic.  We are working with community facilities and businesses who may come along side us to provide those services when medically needed by the use of a voucher system.

Our email is freefaithbasedgraceclinic@gmail.com  Someone will attempt to answer your inquiries.  We do not have a phone yet, as you will remember we are still preparing to open.  Once we do open you will not need an appointment.  We will be open one day a week in the evening and only accept Walk In Patients.  If you would like to see our progress you may view our work at 22 S Ohio Avenue Wellston, Ohio.  Thank you for your interest in our work and May God Bless You and You have a Fruitful Week!
